Congress Summary

The 12th IUPAC International Congress of Pesticide Chemistry, will be held in Melbourne from the 4th-8th of July 2010.  The Congress will be held in-conjunction with The Royal Australian Chemical Institute’s National Convention and you are invited to also be part of this event.

 “Chemistry for a Sustainable World” is a fitting theme for the 12th IUPAC International Congress of Pesticide Chemistry with the issue of sustainability becoming critical for the world’s growing population.

The 12th IUPAC ICPC will begin with a grand opening ceremony and Welcome Reception late on Sunday the 4th of July 2010, continuing over the next four days with a world class scientific program.

The congress will be held in the new Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre located on the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River in the heart of the city.

The program of the 12th IUPAC ICPC will host an extensive scientific program with world leading plenary speakers and symposia.  The program will also be enriched by an extensive poster display and sessions to encourage interaction within the scientific community.

The program will host an extensive scientific program with world leading plenary speakers.  As in past Congresses, the principal means of communication will be posters, enriched by a small number of oral symposia.  Posters will be presented individually and many will also be organized into interactive discussion sessions.
